LA GATOR Application Information ● The Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) Scholarship Program will open student applications on Sunday, March 1st at 9:00 a.m. for the 2026-2027 school year. ● Application portal will close on Monday, March 16th at 11:59 p.m. ● Students currently participating in the LA GATOR program must submit an annual renewal application according to procedures established by the LDOE to ensure continued eligibility according to program requirements.
Documentation & Verification ● Information will be repopulated for returning families. ● During the internal cross-check, if residency or income cannot be verified, families will need to upload documentation to verify residency or income. ○ Parents will be able to see this on their dashboard. ● Documentation for Uploading during the Application ○ Parent LA State ID or Driver’s License ○ Two Proofs of Residency ■ Two utility bills ■ Parent mortgage statement ■ Parent home bill of sale ■ Parent lease agreement ■ Homestead exemption notice ■ Property tax notice
