Uniforms
Students must be in uniform at all times. Uniforms must be neat, clean, and fit appropriately.

All Grades (Boys/Girls)
Shorts and Pants
- Khaki in color.
- No shorter than 3 inches above the knee.
- Shorts, pants, and skirts must be worn above the hips and must fit.
Shirts
- Long or short-sleeved White, Navy, or Red Polo Shirt with the Tensas Academy logo (tucked in)
- The current year’s spirit shirt may be worn on all Fridays tucked into uniform pants, skirts, or under jumpers.
- Long or short sleeved white t-shirts, white turtlenecks, or white compression shirts may be worn under any of the above uniform shirts. No other color shirts may be worn.
- Shirts and pants must fit appropriately.
Belts
Must be worn if the pants or shorts were purchased with belt loops.
Shoes
Shoes must be closed-toe and worn over the heel.
Socks
Socks must be worn. They must be white.
Misc.
- No hats
- Tattoos must be covered.
- No holes in school uniform.
- Friday JEAN days: Jeans may be worn with the current-year TA Spirit shirt for $1.00. No holes or colored jeans.
Girls (All Grades):
Skirts and Jumpers
- Khaki or Classic Navy/Red large plaid (#37) (Can be found at The Cottage in St. Joseph, Minette's in Natchez
- Must be worn above the hips and must fit.
- No shorter than 3 inches above the knee.
- Skirts must have bloomer/biking shorts/athletic shorts worn underneath.
- Leggings may be worn under skirts or jumpers in cold weather. They must be solid black, navy, or white and solid fabric with no mesh.
- Ear piercings only.
Boys (All Grades)
- No piercings.
- Must be clean shaven.
- Hair must be clean cut and out of the eyes.
Hairstyles / Haircolor
- Any hairstyle that can or could become a distraction within the classroom can be addressed by the teacher and/or administration.
- Hairstyles must be kept clean cut and color kept to natural hair colors. For example: pink, purple, or other colors that would be a distraction to learning are not allowed.
Gamedays (High/Jr. High School):
- Football, baseball, and softball players may wear jerseys with school uniform pants/shorts.
- Basketball players may wear their shooting shirts with uniform pants/shorts.
- Track and Tennis practice shirts with uniform pants/shorts
- PreK-5th-grade girls may wear the little cheer uniform only on Varsity Football game days.
- PreK-5th-grade boys may wear a TA jersey for Varsity Football game days only.
Outerwear
- Any solid true navy or true red coat or sweater may be worn. These garments must zip or button all the way down the front.
- Students MUST wear uniform shirts under jackets, coats, or sweaters
- Junior High and High School students may also wear letterman jackets.
NOTE: ***Students who are not in compliance with the dress code will be sent to the office, and the parent will be called to bring the appropriate clothing item(s). Students will remain in the office and not be allowed to go to class until they are in the proper uniform. All subsequent uniform infractions will result in suspension.
